Ci sono stati parecchi argomenti su questo nel corso degli anni, anche se sembra che il consenso attuale sia che i siti lo adattino come ritengono opportuno.
Lettura interessante però:
Quick! Which of these two is older?

Errr… Oh! The one with the apostrophe!
Took you a second, didn’t it?
I took an impromptu poll on IRC to confirm this:
<ii> riking_: it doesnt say if its feb 2013 or 13th of feb etc
<ii> the '13 would suggest 2013 tho
(after getting it wrong)
<culex> I thought Feb didn'th ave the apostrophe
<Malqua> no
<Malqua> it was definitely jan ??, 13
I think that the date formats, even for English, should be changed to DD Mmm (so 13 Jan) and Mmm '…
Hi,
I would like to gather some feedback about how the date of a post is displayed.
2Here’s the thing:
A post from the current year has its date displayed “Jun 12”.
A post from past years has its date displayed as “Jun '12”.
For those who haven’t spotted the difference, there’s an extra extra apostrophe in the second date - Jun '12.
Maybe it’s just me, but it took me an insane amount of time to distinguish both. And when skimming through a list of posts on an instance where dates do matter…
I can see why you wouldn’t think of this until a year in , but now the problem is obvious. I just ran into a post from February 2013, but looking at the date I first thought “oh, this is super recent, how did I miss it?”

The current date format used on posts is not clear at a glance. It can be difficult to determine if a post happened last month or last year. For example, the two posts below:

Looking carefully, you can see that the first is from April 2014 and the second is from April 14. However, at a quick glance, this distinction is unclear. I believe that it would improve the UX if the year format were expanded to show the full year, instead of using the apostrophe format.
This might be just me, but I find that I’m often confused by the short date notation in posts: the notation of a year (Mar '15) is visually really close to the notation of a date (Mar 15). I tend to overlook the apostrophe and assume that a post is one or more years old, making me less interested in it.
My suggestion is to change the years to a full year (Mar 2017) - making it impossible to confuse the two.
