I find it a shame that we can’t create a poll in a discussion channel, as it’s not necessarily tied to a forum topic. For example, someone might propose an idea in a discussion channel to see if there’s a need to create a particular topic or something else.
Similarly, it’s also a shame that there’s no default channel configuration. I’d like to have a settings sheet to configure chat behavior, such as enabling discussion threads, so that future channels are preconfigured. Currently, you have to go back and adjust settings for every new channel.
It’s also unfortunate that only moderators or administrators can create channels. During an event, you might suggest creating or not creating a discussion channel, but this only works for admins or moderators.
That said, I’m not sure if these features can be improved or not, as the goal isn’t to break everything, and I think there are other priorities. Anyway, this was just my feedback on the chat section
