Login into your Google Search Console

https://search.google.com/search-console/about

If you haven’t added your “Property” yet, you need to do this - then you will get the code under SETTINGS.

I have 5 properties (recommended by Google).

http://DomainName.com
https://DomainName.com
http://www.DomainName.com
https://www.DomainName.com
https://forum.DomainName.com

Not including the https://store.DomainName.com

Instead of altering the Default theme (which can be overridden through the course of updates or rebuilds) one should just create a separate theme component and add their GWT verification tag to it.
