Support for "Legal note" in hamburger menu

In Germany, by law, every site must display an easily accessible means to get publisher information on every page served, or otherwise you can get an “Abmahnung”, which usually involves fairly high attorney fees to be paid by the addressee of the Abmahnung. Web site owners usually opt to put this information behind a small link called “Impressum” somewhere at the bottom, because I don’t suppose anyone wants these legal links to mess up their top navigation.

The above topic is from 2013, I found no other matches when searching for “Impressum”, the German word for “Imprint” or “Legal Note”.

To be on the safe side, I would like to have an additional (configurable?) hamburger menu item “Impressum” which links to an editable page, just like e.g. the “FAQ” page does.

Alternatively, I would like to be able to edit the contents of the “About” page.

So my suggestion is:

Please provide an additional configurable/renamable hamburger menu item “Legal note” to a configurable content page.

I’m not entirely sure if that’d help. It’s one click too far off, and the hamburger menu might very well not be “obvious” enough. You could use a site customization to put a fixed, non-scrolling footer at the bottom of the page…

Disclaimer section on the "about" page

By German law, a site owner has to provide a disclaimer with address information, limitation of liability and privacy infos. I think this would be the best place to add this information. Does someone already wrote a plugin / hack for this use case? Thanks you all in advance, Markus
