Why do some areas still display English? Is there a good global Chinese plugin? Also, the existing Chinese translations don’t seem very clear. Are there any plugins with better translations that align with how Chinese speakers understand things?
I don’t think there is a plugin that translates these. The reason why setting names are not translated is that this way they are identical for everyone. If I, for example, ask how I can avoid the information from the forum being sent out via email and someone tells me the setting is called private email, then I can search for that and find the setting - even though my forum is in German. Otherwise, I still wouldn’t know what to search for in German.

And I have created a theme component to try how that feels - not just on a screenshot - but in my forum. But I haven’t translated all settings yet. There are about 900 (without plugins). It looks like this (usually the subtitles aren’t red, I changed the color to highlight them in the screenshot. I copied the Chinese translations from /admin/config/about)
If you’d like to translate all the settings yourself, I can see if I can publish the component, but that’s not really a good solution. New settings are added frequently, but I need to update the component manually and then the translations need to be updated manually.
