The procedure for reordering categories as they appear on the landing page for logged in users, as set out in the documentation here , seems not to be working. I am unsure whether this is likely due to a recent beta update, or some related setting I recently and unwittingly played with, but would mu…

[이미지] Paul_King: default_categories_muted This is still the most suspicious one. I think muting a parent category can result in the subcategories being muted too. Are you sure no category is muted in your preferences ? If you filter latest for one of the subcategories that are missing on the …

To recap, after much trial and error, it seems there are absolutely no administrator settings that will cause the latest topics in ANY subcategory, let alone the most active subcategory to appear first by default Old topics, in a seldom used subcategory currenly are all that appear. The ‘Latest’ f…

[이미지] Paul_King: Clicking ‘Latest’ brings truely ancient posts to the top of the list, and with the posts below that appearing in completely random order - neither in the order of the first post date, or most recent post date. The /latest I see is ordered by activity. Any chance there is some…

[이미지] Paul_King: Instead, no matter what I do, the landing page now shows old posts in the ‘PUBLIC > Open Forum’ category. This is a stretch but have you by any chance changed this setting for that category: [CleanShot 2025-12-09 at 10.01.09@2x] It truly is the last thing I can think about…

[이미지] Moin: ?order=posters Thanks @Chapoi That is a very good question - but I cannot for the life of me even find that setting under the ‘Appearance’ tab. A settings search for ‘topic list’ also elicits nothing for me.

Oh sorry, it is a category setting. So go to the category tab via here: Choose a category > click wrench [CleanShot 2025-12-09 at 10.14.53@2x] And then to the settings tab: [CleanShot 2025-12-09 at 10.15.38@2x] And scroll down But if you don’t know it, the chances you’ve changed it are slim …

Thanks @Moin Where would I find/check/edit the ?order=posters parameter? I found nothing obviously related by searching admin settings

[이미지] Paul_King: Where would I find/check/edit the ?order=posters parameter? I think just in the URL when you are on the /latest page. So on meta it is https://meta.discourse.org/latest and shouldn’t be anything else for example

I sometimes have something like this sticking at the URL, without any configuration. It can happen, for example, after clicking one of the column headings in the topic list.

내가 거기에 넣어둔 걸 깜빡했네요. 다른 카테고리로 재현하지 못한 이유가 분명해졌습니다.
