UI issue "create new topic" (mobile)

Hey there Meta

Since the latest update, the UI keeps focused on the editor concerning the mobile version of instances of the latest version of discourse. This disables me to write the topic’s name properly since it’s out of screen. I haven’t tested across multiple devices, currently only tested on my Pixel 2 (Google) - Chrome, Brave. The reply/edit text editor works fine though.

Happy to hear whether this has to do with my device in combination with the latest discourse or a more widespread problem.

I can repro this issue, we will fix it ASAP. In the meantime as a workaround, it seems that Firefox and Firefox Nightly are not afflicted by the bug.

If you do not want to install a new browser you can try to start a new topic using the PWA while we fix the issue on the app. The PWA on chrome still works for me.

This should be fixed via: https://github.com/discourse/discourse/commit/fa1ed9799c07edc1c136cee7371d0afc5aeb7283 (it will take about 20 minutes for this to be deployed here on meta).
