I have something I’d like to add to this.
I recently sent a Moderator Warning PM to a user, who immediately went in and removed himself from the message. 
For warnings, shouldn’t this feature be turned off?

I moved your reply to a separate topic. I agree users shouldn’t be able to remove themselves from an Official Warning PM, that pretty much defeats the purpose.

Sorry, I was saying I agree with you that users shouldn’t be able to remove themselves, not that they currently are unable to. Edited my above post.

Right but does it matter? They clearly saw it, staff can add them back in any time if they need to, etc?

In this case, yes, it mattered, I needed to know if he was doing something purposefully or if he really didn’t understand what he was doing wrong.
Turns out that even though I’d warned him several times, he hadn’t bothered to try to understand. Spent over an hour trying to teach him to use the “Edit” button. Still doesn’t understand.

Mi dispiace per aver riaperto un vecchio argomento. Stavo giusto esaminando questo problema. Concordo sul fatto che se un utente avvisato si rimuove dal PM di avviso, ciò indica che l’utente ha visto l’avviso. Sarebbe probabilmente tecnicamente possibile impedire agli utenti di rimuovere se stessi dai PM di avviso, ma non sembra essere un problema che si presenta molto spesso, quindi l’implementazione di ciò probabilmente non è qualcosa che necessita di priorità.
C’è un piccolo problema di interfaccia utente quando un utente si rimuove da un avviso. Il conteggio degli avvisi viene ancora visualizzato per lo staff sulla pagina del profilo dell’utente, ma facendo clic sul collegamento degli avvisi si accede a /u/<username>/messages/warnings e viene visualizzato il testo “Non hai messaggi”:
Il PM di avviso esiste ancora, ma non è più nella casella di posta degli avvisi dell’utente. Il record UserWarning esiste ancora nel database. Tale voce contiene l’user_id dell’utente avvisato e il topic_id del PM di avviso. Sembra che sarebbe possibile utilizzare tali record per collegarsi agli avvisi precedenti inviati all’utente invece di collegarsi a /u/<username>/messages/warnings.
