We just migrated a busy email discussion list to discourse.

On our old platform - posts were all sent in by email. users received an email notification for every item posted to the list even when they had posted something themselves. They liked this as it gave them confidence that their post had worked. I can’t see how to enable that option (if it exists) in discourse.

I’m getting lots of “did my message get posted” queries.

Any thoughts?

You could try enabling mailing list mode to replicate old behavior

I already have that enabled but users don’t get notifications for their own email posts
