Discourse-reactions Github not found

I searched and couldn’t exactly find this issue, even after looking at other similar issues.

I wanted to enable discourse-reactions on my instance. After following the usual procedure and adding the repo URL to my app.yml, running git pull and ./launcher rebuild app, the bootstrap fails.

Following is the failure output:

** FAILED TO BOOTSTRAP ** please scroll up and look for earlier error messages, there may be more than one.

I scrolled up and the only error I found above that was this:

I, [2024-05-03T16:25:41.537553 #1] INFO -- :
I, [2024-05-03T16:25:41.538494 #1]  INFO -- : > cd /var/www/discourse/plugins && https://github.com/discourse/discourse-reactions.git
sh: 1: https://github.com/discourse/discourse-reactions.git: not found

This seems odd since the Github page is easily viewable in a web browser. After commenting out the discourse-reactions, everything builds fine.

Any recommendations or tips for getting this working?

Cheers.

Edit: I tried rebuilding again and now see the following error:

Hello, welcome back

You miss a git clone before the URL, it would seem.

You should add the following:

- git clone https://github.com/discourse/discourse-reactions

For example, see the last line:

hooks:
  after_code:
    - exec:
        cd: $home/plugins
        cmd:
          - git clone https://github.com/discourse/docker_manager.git
          - git clone https://github.com/discourse/discourse-knowledge-explorer
          - git clone https://github.com/discourse/discourse-reactions

Thanks for the super quick reply and for the welcome!

You were absolutely correct. I had forgotten to include - git clone before the Github URL. I ran the build again and it completed the bootstrap without problems.

Thanks again.
