You have 2cores @2ghz.. probably with only 8gb ram and HDD.. that would justify slow rebuild. Definitely more RAM and faster SSDs would speed it up. Imho majority of the jobs during rebuild are singlethreaded. But the only proper solution is a two container setup.

That is very slow. We can rebuild our forum in less than five minutes on a single Ryzen 3900 thread. and 1GB RAM. Granted, the forum is very small (6k posts).

If that’s the case, changing the git clone to sudo discourse as described in the Install Plugins in Discourse might save a bit of time. But if the disks are spinning pieces of metal, that’s the problem.

Single thread speed is important.

I’ve not seen a rebuild take that long. Do you have a big database? Lots of themes? Lots of plugins?
