The discussion revolves around creating ranked polls on the Discourse platform. Chris_Holdgraf inquired about the possibility of allowing users to rank their top N options in a poll, citing the community’s use of ranked choice voting for electing people to positions. Falco replied that this feature is not currently available, but suggested embedding services like Typeform or RankedVote as alternatives. v-maxbraden expressed interest in a ranked choice polling feature, while Falco provided examples of how RankedVote can be used via embeds, showcasing grid and drag voting styles.
I quite like the polls feature for quickly getting feedback from a part of the community. In some cases, we’d like to be able to let people rank their preferences in a poll, rather than simply choose from multiple options. In particular our community has been using a ranked choice voting method for electing people to positions.
Is it currently possible to provide a poll where responses rank their top N options?
