Image appear above line

AI-generated summary

HugoTrentesaux is experiencing an issue with images appearing above or below lines in a post, rather than inline with text. The user is seeking a way to resolve this using markdown.

JammmyDodger initially suggested a ‘float’ option in the MD Composer Extras theme component, but later realized it might not be relevant.

HugoTrentesaux noted that a recent update changed the behavior, and the images now appear below the line. The user reiterated the question of how to make images inline without custom CSS.

JammmyDodger attempted to resolve the issue by reducing the image size, but found that it did not make the images inline with the text. The images appear to share an alignment with emojis, suggesting that it might not be possible to achieve inline images using only markdown.

Image appear above line like this:

  • Aaa a One

  • Bbb b Two

  • Ccc c Three

  • Ddd d Four

  • Eee e Five

Is there a way to make an image inline with the text using markdown?

(“new user” so can not post more than one embeded image per post)
(“new user” so can not post more than two links per post)

There’s a ‘float’ option in the MD Composer extras theme component that might be useful to you? There are quite a few other formatting options in there too, so you may just want to create your own ‘mini’ version with just the float option in.

Edit: Yup, I was way off.

Though I’m not sure I’ve understood the requirement fully, so could be way off.

It seems that an update changed this behaviour because now that I’m coming back here, the image appears below line.
The question on how to make it inline without custom css remains.

Would making them smaller work?

  • Aaa a One

  • Bbb b Two

  • Ccc c Three

  • Ddd d Four

  • Eee e Five

Not so much. They seem to share an alignment with the emojis :smiley_cat: :+1:, so I’m not sure it’s possible using only markdown.
