Does the mail-receiver work with arm?

There’s nothing amd64-specific in there (or, at least, there wasn’t when I made it, and I can’t imagine any major changes would have been made to invalidate that assumption).

There is socketee which is downloaded to /usr/local/bin from GitHub as part of the Dockerfile. That’s an x86_64 binary so that won’t work, however it looks like that only gets used if explicitly configured.

Specifically that feature above would fail on arm64 as socketee would fail to execute. I can’t see anything else that wouldn’t just work by building for arm64.

It would just be a matter of the docker image maintainers making a build of the image for arm64, as they already do for amd64.

I’m not 100% sure but from casual observation, it seems like just adding these lines to the build file might do that:

docker build --platform linux/arm64 --build-arg=http_proxy=$http_proxy -t discourse/mail-receiver:$1 .
docker push discourse/mail-receiver:${1}_arm64
