This guide explains how to opt-in a Discourse community to Discourse Discover, a platform designed to increase community visibility and showcase unique Discourse-powered sites. To join, administrators must enable the “include in discourse discover” setting in the Site Admin configuration. Verification can be done by checking the include_in_discourse_discover field in the site’s /site/basic-info.json file, ensuring it is set to true.
Regarding eligibility, sam clarifies that sites must be public, active, and at least a month old to allow for assessment. Inclusion typically occurs within a few business days. Users Timelord and bartv discussed troubleshooting inclusion issues, with JammyDodger noting that lack of recent activity can lead to rejection. Timelord later confirmed their site was successfully added.
Additional discussions include eisammy and eisammy suggesting features for filtering Discover by language or country, and Jun reporting that their site was not searchable despite correct configuration. mononym asked how to re-enter the pipeline after making a site public, with rishabh confirming it was resolved. Finally, eisammy raised concerns about Cloudflare blocking Discover bots, and pmusaraj confirmed bartv’s site was approved.

I have opted into this since day one, and from what I can tell, my site has not been included. Is there a way for me to tell why? From what I can see, I have followed all the needed steps.
So I’m here suggesting a way to share the Discover link already filtered by language/country instances to make it easier to share. I know it’s a small request, but it makes a difference for me.
Hello. We had enabled the include_in_discourse_discover setting while the site was not public. Now the site is public (with some categories reserved for members but no approval required on signup). How to rejoin the pipeline to get listed in Discover ? Many thanks from Eupalinos.eu.
A quick question: why does Cloudflare’s Super Bot Fight always block the Discover bots? For some time now, whenever I need to enable this feature in CF, I get removed from Discover because the listing bot cannot access the instance’s .json info files.
