If the S3 bucket has backups as recent as last week, then Discourse has credentials to the bucket. They are probably in app.yml or in the site settings. But you don’t need access to the S3 bucket yourself, you should be able to download the backup through Discourse. Do you see the backups in /admi…

I have root access. I did do a command line back up, but it pushed to S3. Thanks to @pfaffman ’s comments I’m now realizing I can try pulling the backup from S3 down to local - I just need the time to attempt it.
