Discourse Docs Plugin – Topics Not Updating in Docs Page

I’m currently using the Discourse Docs plugin and I’ve run into an issue where new topics posted in certain categories no longer appear in the Docs page.

For example, in this category: :link: https ://sitet0r dot com/c/can-thue/3344
— new topics are visible just fine in the category view. But on the Docs page, it only shows older posts (before 2021).

I’m not sure if this is a bug from the plugin or an issue with my Discourse setup (self-hosted via /var/discourse).

Could you please advise if there’s a fix or a known workaround?
I’d be happy to offer a paid fee for your support or patch — this plugin is essential to our documentation system.

Remember, with this plugin, the index must be managed manually.

If you haven’t added links to these new topics in your index topic, it’s expected that they won’t show up in the sidebar.

Yes, I’ve already added the categories I want to display in the Docs category plugin settings.

It looks like you’re using the older Docs plugin that is being retired, and not this Discourse Doc Categories plugin. Is that accurate?

Yes, that’s correct

7 posts were split to a new topic: A better way to manage indices for Doc Categories?

Do the topics appear when you disable the Show tags by group setting?

I think that setting limits the docs to only show topics which are tagged with at least one tag from a tag group you selected in docs tag groups. So topics without tags will no longer appear.

Thank you so much! :folded_hands:

You were absolutely right — I didn’t realize that for a topic to appear in the Docs page, it must include at least one tag from the selected tag groups in the plugin settings. After adding the appropriate tag, the topic appeared instantly.

Your insight saved me a lot of time. I really appreciate your support — you clearly have deep experience with Discourse and its ecosystem.
