The discussion revolves around improving the organization of AI-assisted private messages (PMs) in Discourse. kuaza proposes a dedicated page or filter to list AI conversations separately, citing current difficulties in locating them among regular messages or bookmarks. Jagster suggests using tags and bookmarks as a workaround, but kuaza questions how tags apply to private messages and how to distinguish them. merefield shares an image showing group-based PM settings. Falco announces a forthcoming special sidebar for ai-bot PMs, with isaac confirming that the feature has landed in the discourse-ai plugin via this PR and will be iterated on. kuaza and kuaza express enthusiastic appreciation. jrgong asks for a way to remove AI PMs from the inbox, to which kuaza replies that administrators can view and delete messages. The feature is in active development and aims to streamline AI conversation management.
If implemented, it would likely appear quite effective: creating a dedicated page to list conversations conducted with artificial intelligence or filtering them within the messages section.
It is essential to facilitate the enumeration of AI-assisted chats. Currently, conversations are listed haphazardly within the messages tab, and occasionally, we may wish to revisit a chat with AI. If we haven’t bookmarked it, locating it can be time-consuming. Moreover, with an abundance of bookmarks, finding a specific one becomes increasingly challenging.
My suggestion is to develop a page where AI conversations can be filtered or listed separately. This idea can be refined further; if you have a better concept or insight, please do not hesitate to share it with our developers.
How do you utilize tags within private messages? Additionally, how do you distinguish them from other topics? If you could provide more detailed information, I would be eager to attempt it.
This landed in the discourse-ai plugin today. It will be iterated on heavily in the coming weeks, but you can start to get an idea of the general direction!
