I see just about every other social media icon in here.
Hello @hipp0 While there is no general youtube Icon if your refering to making a new section on the sidebar then try for youtube use the Play
This can be used in place and still works
while i know im not telling why there isnt a fab-icon because i dont know i am giving this as a replacement
Fontawesome lists it as an icon:
Making it strange that it isn’t listed. Could you enable the Styleguide plugin > /styleguide > Icons > Look for ‘youtube’ to find if it’s there.
I don’t think the YouTube icon is already used somewhere in Discourse, so you need to add fab-youtube to the SVG icon subset site setting before you can use it.
Thanks this worked by adding the fab-youtube
How would I add this newspaper icon?
You add far-newspaper to the setting.
Some hints: Discourse currently uses FontAwesome 6, so when you search for icons, make sure that you select the correct version, otherwise the names might be different.
When you look at the icon Newspaper Classic Regular Icon | Font Awesome, you can tell whether it’s a regular, solid, or brand icon by looking at the HTML example.
This one says “fa-regular”, so you know it’s a regular icon, and combined with the description of the site setting “Use no prefix for solid icons, ‘far-’ for regular icons, and ‘fab-’ for brand icons,” you know to use far- as the prefix.
