It’s a 2400 × 1260 JPEG, which is double the 1200x630 recommend (helps cover devices with 2x pixel density). I believe most social networks will cache open graph images, so changes may not appear immediately.

I changed to something larger that I had handy (a favorite). tried on two sites and the change with Bluesky post thumbnails was immediate so no apparent caching. OpenGraph image → 1500x500 jpeg [soaringtwitter] Thanks again @awesomerobot marking as solved.
