Lack of direct access to subcategories

This is the big one for me, and the one that is proving most problematic in my attempt to structure things in my own community.

It could work if the menu somehow allowed to drill down into subcategories:

• if you don’t want people to post in the parent category, display the subcategory boxes prominently on that category page
• people will use the parent category at times but a topic is easily moved to the subcategory and education takes place
• If posting in the parent category is fine, then don’t put subcategories forward with boxes, or maybe not at all
