Priority/Severity: Moderate, I guess? Platform: try.discourse.org (can reproduce in Safe Mode) Edge 144.0.3719.91 MIUI 13.0.14 on Android 12 Mi 11 Lite Description: The order of characters when typing in the floating search widget is reversed. Reproducible steps: Rotate the device to horizontal. Enter a topic. If safe mode is not enabled, scroll down a little to show the search icon. [IMG_20260314_092742] Tap the search icon and you should see the popover: [Screenshot_2026-03-14-09-29-50-640-edit_com.microsoft.emmx] Type “thing” in the box. Expected: “thing” appears. Actual: “gniht” appears. Character deletion is unaffected.

Funny find. While the bug remains and to circumvent the issue, I suggest you search only palindromes :stuck_out_tongue:

Can’t reproduce on Edge 145, Android 16, Gboard keyboard. Can you try with a different keyboard?

I discovered it’s related to the floating keyboard feature, have yet to test other keyboards:

Also the keyboard I used is Sogou IME customized for Xiaomi [Screenshot of 3 natively available keyboards] I’ll test other keyboards later.

Hello, what is the reason for classifying this from bug to support question?

Я обнаружил, что это связано с функцией плавающей клавиатуры, другие клавиатуры ещё не тестировал:
