Topic Voting Plugin - Tally of past votes is missing, users having trouble voting

Hi all,

We recently rebuilt our forums to use 2026.4.0-latest and now users cannot view past votes and are having trouble voting. I have checked the logs and it looks like Topic Voting plugin may be using deprecated features. Here is the stack trace:

This is a very important plugin for our community so would appreciate this issue being investigated asap.

I’m experiencing this too!!!
It’s really frustrating because I’ve been heavily using the Poll plugin for voting in my own Discourse-powered projects. I’ve been trying to figure out a solution for over three hours now, but I still haven’t been able to resolve it. I hope the official team can step in to address this; otherwise, I’ll have to look for an alternative (though I haven’t found any suitable replacements yet).

This issue also seems to be impacting Reactions Plugin and the User Note Plugin with users reporting that these now no longer work. Again it seems to be related to selected_tags param being deprecated. I would expect now that these plugins are included in core this issue should have been identified earlier.

The versions 2026.3.0-latest and 2026.3.0-latest.1 also experienced the same issues as reported in this post.

Currently, this warning should not cause any issues.

I’m not seeing any other issues in the logs related to these plugins. Is there anything I can run to help diagnose the cause of these issues?

Do the plugins work for you? Do the users who report that they are broken see more errors in their browser console?

The fact that your problem seems to affect all plugins reminds me of this recent topic All plugins not functioning due to CORS error after recent upgrade

hmmm, I had a look at the dev console and am seeing a bunch of CDN errors so will dig into this further! This might be the root issue

As an aside, I don’t use bunny CDN but are seeing `app.js:73 Failed to load plugin discourse-local-dates from TypeError: Failed to fetch dynamically imported module:` where the JS is on the CDN

Yes, this issue is due to how plugin modules are now loaded. I had to update my headers in our CDN to fix the CORS / ES module issue

This is a screenshot of the page after accessing a post with voting. Pressing F12 shows a 500 error, JavaScript loading failures, and an internal server error, but no direct CORS error is thrown.

Have you performed another update since Zogstrip shared the fix?

Can you access yourForum/logs? Are there any details about the 500 errors?

No other updates have been performed; there are poll-related errors in /logs.
