@tkforbes created an event with the auto-bump topic option set to bump the topic 3, 2, and 1 days before the scheduled start time. However, tkforbes observed that only the first bump is triggered. The event is set up using the gear widget in the composer with the following code:
[event start="2024-12-13 20:41" status="public" timezone="America/Toronto" end="2024-12-13 21:26" allowedGroups="trust_level_0" reminders="bumpTopic.1.days,bumpTopic.2.days,bumpTopic.3.days"]
[/event]
As seen in tkforbes, the event topic only received a single bump, with no subsequent bumps occurring at the scheduled times. Prior to the first bump, the system provides a notice, but once the bump occurs, there is no notice about the next bump, and no further bumps happen.
I have created events that are programmed with the auto-bump topic option. I wanted to bump the event three, two and one days before the scheduled start time to give visibility to an approaching event.
I used the gear widget in the composer to build the event.
The resulting code looks like this:
[event start="2024-12-13 20:41" status="public" timezone="America/Toronto" end="2024-12-13 21:26" allowedGroups="trust_level_0" reminders="bumpTopic.1.days,bumpTopic.2.days,bumpTopic.3.days"]
[/event]
Discourse is only triggering a single bump. Prior to the first bump (the only bump), the system gives a notice that the topic will be bumped in X days|hours|minutes. Once the bump occurs, there is no notice about the next bump. When the time arrives for the next bump, nothing happens.
