Pressing Enter after triggering a quick search doesn't open the advanced search page anymore if AI search is set as default

Previous behavior:
You must have AI search by default enabled for this to happen.

  1. Enter search terms in the quick search bar
  2. Press enter: it triggers the search and show first results
  3. Press enter again : it opens the advanced search page

Now, pressing enter again does nothing. I was using a lot this feature and I miss it.

Not sure if it goes in Contribute > Feature, Contribute > UX or Contribute > Bug :thinking:

Can you reproduce this here on Meta? it seems to work for me but maybe there’s some combination of conditions I’m missing

I think it only happens when Use Ask AI by default is set.

Yeah, that’s it.

Even going to “this topic” or “all topics” tab and pressing enter won’t open the advanced search if AI is set as default.

And that’s anther subject but I’d appreciate if the default AI toggle was visible before the AI search is complete, as it forces us to wait for a long time before the option becomes visible.

I’ve edited the first post and moved it to bug :slight_smile:
