Adding tags are cumbersome. Take time to load. It would be better if you introduce a feature to add tags without loading tags. I would like to type multiple tags and press enter to add them.

Just type the tag word and press enter what is so hard about that, I’m not following?

Type word, press enter then type another word, press enter … etc

Does not really seem to work well for me. Is not fluid. Like, how the topic or reply editor is. The tag editor keeps loading for sometime on slower connections, checking if it is already available or not, and gets inserted only then.

Not sure if this is a sensible feature request or not.

I often prepare and refine my tags in a text editor first. Could the tag input dialog be modified to take a space (or comma or newline) separated string of tags in one hit? There should still be time to review that list before hitting the green button to okay the collective acceptance. TIA.

This is somewhat possible now using the pipe | as a separator. If you copy and paste dog|cat|monkey|bear into a tag input box it should recognise them as separate tags. (it doesn’t work if you manually type it in there though).

But, just to add, there’s also the bulk upload option in the tag wrench that may be of some use as well, depending on your work flow.

@JammyDodger I am a fan of pipe chars! Tx. Just what I needed to know.

To confirm that this pipe method works. And that if a designated tag does not previously exist, it will be created on the fly. Also that the user has an opportunity to edit and confirm the generated tags before submitting. There can also be spaces around the pipe char too, for readability. This trick is exactly what I was looking for! :+1:
