After upgrade, docker: local_discourse/app is not a valid mac address

After an upgrade by:

git pull
./launcher rebuild app

The service is not starting even by a ./launcher start app

I am getting an error related to mac-address and there is no mac address on the command line:

# ./launcher start app
x86_64 arch detected.

+ /data/docker-discourse/docker run --shm-size=512m -d --restart=always -h myhost-app -e DOCKER_HOST_IP=172.17.0.1 --name app -t --mac-address local_discourse/app /sbin/boot
docker: local_discourse/app is not a valid mac address.
See 'docker run --help'.

How can I fix it?

What is the hostname of your host?

The hostname is myhost.

Weird, that hostname should set a MAC of 02:e0:04:92:ec:9a.

Anyway, you can use ./launcher start app --skip-mac-address to skip it if you don’t want to debug it any further.

I do not know why a MAC is not added.

I have run the ./launcher start app --skip-mac-address

No error but it seems that no port are listed so application is not accessible:

Can you share your app.yml file (minus personal data/passwords)?

Sure I have copied below the content of containers/app.yml after replacing some confidential information by xxxxx.

Can you try changing that to:

expose:
  - "8009:80" # http

Are you running an extra reverse proxy on the host? In that case you may prefer to list to a unix socket by adding a web.socketed.template.yml in the template list at the top.

I have changed the expose and rebuild but still the same issue.

I am running Haproxy as a reverse proxy to handle HTTPS connection to Discourse. It is running as-is for more than 2 years with already several upgrades.
