If it’s a one off message, you can use bcc to the group you create.

Yes, I’m thinking ad-hoc messages re. limitations or other subjects that don’t apply to higher TL users.

I didn’t know about the Discourse BCC Plugin – that sounds very handy for doing this without creating a group inbox.
