Is there any interest in allowing queued posts to be assignable as well? This would be very useful for managing incoming new posts.
A second wish: in the /latest?assigned lists, it would be nice to show who was assigned to a specific post. I’ll try to do this myself and post a PR in GitHub if I manage to do it properly.
Can we add the option to assign a post that is awaiting approval? Would be very useful for moderated forums, it allows moderators to assign a post to another moderator.
It is a very complicated change unfortunately, while in the approval queue the post does not yet exist.
Just a quick update, we have in principle plans for normalizing akismet/queued posts and flags into a central queue. This is a long term plan but likely to happen by the end of 2019, when this happens we should be able to assign/claim an akismet stuff / queued posts (flags can already be done now)
