Install this theme component
This component puts an AI chat assistant in the corner of your forum. A visitor asks a question in their own words and gets an answer built from your own content, in over 80 languages, at any hour.
It is meant for support and product forums, where the same handful of questions come round every week.
Once it is installed, a small chat button appears in the corner of every page. A visitor clicks it, types a question in their own words, and gets an answer built from your own material: your website, your documents, whatever you have given Asyntai. It replies in the visitor’s own language.
There are three settings, and really only one matters. Paste the snippet from your Asyntai dashboard into asyntai widget id and the component keeps just the ID. Clear that field and the chat is off again.
asyntai hide for logged in keeps the chat away from members, so only guests see it. That is useful when the assistant is there to catch newcomers rather than interrupt regulars. asyntai script url you can ignore unless you host the widget yourself. Back end labels are in English and German.
You do not need to touch your Content Security Policy. Discourse uses 'strict-dynamic', so the widget loads as it is. Checked on Discourse 3.5.
It is free and MIT licensed. You need an account at asyntai.com for the widget ID. There is a free plan with 100 messages a month, and paid plans above that.
