The next thing I want you to try is this filter.

wpdc_comment_sync_period

Set the sync period for comments in seconds. Default 600, i.e. 10 minutes.

Example

Set the sync period to 5 minutes.

function custom_comment_sync_period( $minutes, $post_id ) {
  return 300;
}
add_filter( 'wpdc_comment_sync_period', 'custom_comment_sync_period', 10, 2);
