Avatar doing a 90 degree rotation

I haven’t taken a look too carefully but i think it’s some tomfoolery with EXIF data, or similar metadata to specify the 90 degree rotation, that metadata is then lost when the avatar is resized by discourse, reverting the image to the actual on disc orientation.

I haven’t looked at that specific image, but we do fix the orientation of the image before we remove all of the EXIF metadata.

Ha haa - well spotted. Its not anything clever I did - not deliberately anyway

@accalia’s explanation seems to make sense - I think I did have to rotate the image when I uploaded it.
