Birthday in Discourse

Hello,

Discourse is showing the birthday in a strange way:

image

It’s written birthday twice and the numbers doesn’t make sense.

Someone can explain to me?

Thank you.

Anniversary as in 1 year on forum.

Also according to Google translate birthday in Portuguese is also Aniversário which is the same as anniversary.

You will have to change via admin -> customise -> text

Hi,

I didnt understand. Why is written birthday twice?

My problem is not the writing… Is why birthday has two click options, and the numbers doesnt make sense.

This is a bug in the translations.

One of the tabs is the birthday of the person, and the other tab is the anniversary of registering for the forum.

The pt_BR translation needs to be fixed to make the words different.

See above.

Great Kane!

Thats part of the solution. And the numbers above? 8 33 doesn’t make any sense.

@riking, another question…

Which tab is the bithday of the users and which one is the community anniversary of that user?

thx

Left button is anniversary and right button is birthdays.

10 55 - 17 55

doesnt make sense hahaha

Whats the difference for you guys between anniversary and birthdays?

Portuguese doesn’t have a word for it, so it’s weird.

Birthday is what we call “aniversário” like the day you were born in the year.

Anniversary is what we would call “aniversário de comunidade” or completing another year in the Discourse instance.

Would “… de Comunidade” or similar be meaningful enough in context to be the entire button text?

Wait, no, because it’s the one on the left. Oops.

Great @Falco. And how about the numbers?

As said by @riking that is just a translation error.

The js.dates.full_no_year_no_time is completely broken in pt_BR.

Let me fix it.

Edit: It is fixed in transifex now. It will be available for your instance in the next few days.
