There’s already a few whitelisted Discourse apps on the Apple store, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t. From my understanding, the app needs to give more value to the user than just being a web browser and apparently notifications aren’t enough which is why the whitelisted apps have a login screen. But I think there needs to be more features so the chance of getting approved is higher.
I’m working on a whitelisted app that has a login, signup, password reset screen and other integrations with the Discourse menu so that it feels more like an actual app. The Android version is being tested on the Google Play store while the iOS version will take a few weeks until I can try to get it approved.
