Is it possible to bump topics only for certain groups/users, and not for normal users? E.g. to revisit old topics to close them or answer them.
No, it would get pretty complicated because the timeline of a topic would spit off into a fork for different subsets of users.
There’s some similar discussion here concerning whispers and whether or not they bump topics… maybe the whisper bumping plugin suggested at the end could help?
Ah… that’s a pity then. Thanks for the linked topic; I’ll take a look.
Can you share a bit more about your specific use case?
And how are you currently attempting to solve your problem?
I’m wondering if another possible option is to use automation to send a notification to the group via PM or a chat channel set up for that group, e.g. with a link to a /filter list, or a data explorer query that lists the topics that need attention.
Okay. So for example, if a feature has been implemented recently, but there were fearure requests for them long ago, I’d want to revisit those old feature requests to tell them that it’s solved (and close them).
