can the setting of a parent category get inherited by sub categories ?

I have many sub categories and don´t want to set this on each separately :slight_smile:

It does not, no. Subcategories do not inherit any settings from their parent category. If you need to modify numerous categories, I’d suggest using the API or rails console.
