Canned replies turning into SEO nightmare

I’m running a marketplace using discourse, and with every listing with manually review the topic and follow up with a canned first response.

This is now turning into an SEO issue because we have over 1000 pages that have this response to it and we are concerned about duplicate content penalties from Google.

Does anyone have any ideas on how we can avoid this?

I can think of two easy options.

One, don’t worry about it. There is no such thing as a duplicate content penalty. What will happen is the result that comes up will be the one that the search engine “decides” is the best one for the site that answers the search terms. The site will not be “punished” in any way, only that the page it chooses for the result might not be the one you prefer it to show.

Second, have those topics in a category where the “everyone” group does not have permissions but the “trust_level_0” group (or other) does. Only registered members will be able to see the canned replies and search engines will not see them.
