Real time update banner for category page

Hi,

Is there any way to sort the latest page (while keeping ajax live updates) in a PHPBB sort of way. What I mean is that I want my page to show for example top 10 live topics from each category, being updated in real time like the “latest” page. The category page kind of works for that, but doesnt include live updates, usernames and such.

I am looking for exactly the same functionality of sorting posts. Should I configure something? Or maybe is there any plugin which is able to improve category sorting?
