Partially as a joke, on our forum we wanted to have the word spam become a ping for the group @spam. However that doesn’t work as a replacement, and is only a link without the classes that I tried to add to it (Watched word: spam -> <a class="mention-group notify" href="/groups/spam">@spam</a> VS what actually replaces: <a href="/groups/spam">@spam</a>). This seems really inconsistent, when doing the same thing works for user mentions (e.g. fire -> <a class="mention" href="/u/firepup650">@firepup650</a>).
