Collude - a collaborative text editor for Discourse

It would be awesome to use Codi similarly to how you the current Jitsi component works, which is both easy to install and setup for a specific jitsi server.

Something like this, generating <iframe> code that Discourse will accept now that youā€™ve allowed it in the site settings:

Thank you @riking, but I guess I know the HTML part: thatā€™s going from the URL to the HTML in JavaScript that Iā€™m not sure how to deal with. Iā€™ve been looking at some plugins, it may work, but a canonical example would be useful, or a pointer to something that does it correctly using Discourse best practice.

We should start a dedicated, linked topic for embed-codimd! Cool to see it emerge like a phoenix.

Sam, have you got an update for us on this by any chance?

I rewrote it, but I am still testing it, probably ready to release it in 4-8 weeks

You can install it if you wish it lives at: https://github.com/discourse/discourse-shared-edits

But it still is a few more weeks before I post about this on meta.
