Confused about setting up reply by email

I’m reading not to use gmail, but google apps for domain are okay??? . . . but I’m lost on how to get started. Can someone point me to the instructions (step-by-step preferred ;)) . . . Knittingtoday.com is hosted through google for work or is it called gsuite now?
