Content attribution using Shared Edits

We are considering pushing for #shared-edits use in our community for situations where https://etherpad.org/ is being used right now. Although Etherpad is more mature and feature-rich, we are interested in the integration Shared Edits offers with the forum vs isolated Etherpads that are easily lost and forgotten.

One lovely feature that Etherpad has is that it is easy to trace who wrote what (kind of, as long that users identify themselves) through text background colors. Shared Edits doesn’t have these color cues, nor an accurate authors’ log in the version history of the post.

Either way would work. The use case is to be able to see who wrote something specific, something that is not unusual when taking collaborative notes quickly in event sessions or meetings.
