Hello,

Today, when I sent a direct message in my community, the user does not receive an email with this. There’s a possibility that Discourse send an email when a direct message is received?

It’s possible that the user had recently visited the site, in which case, the site may not send an email. It depends on the following user preference:

I would argue that Discourse should honour this setting for most notifications, but direct messages should always be emailed.
