I collegamenti di Discourse non si aprono in nuove schede

Hi All,
When I am using links other than discourse articles, it’s opening in a new tab.
But when I gave the link of the posts on discourse in one of our other articles, it opened in the same tab.
How do resolve this?
Kindly help.

This is a user preference, under

Other

Open all external links in a new tab

There is no option to open same site links in a new tab. If you need that:

  • right click (or long tap) and select open in new tab
  • if on a keyboard enabled device, hold the ctrl key when clicking

Is it a possibility, if we can open all links in new tab (be it external or internal) in the near future???

Discourse is a Single Page App. How would it make sense to open all links in a different tab. Even for normal sites, who wants to open all links in a new tab anyway?

If you don’t want to “lose your place” in Discourse, for internal links you can always right-click and select “Open link in new tab”. You will still be where you left off in your original tab/window. Or just right-click on your browser’s back button and select the page you want to go back to. That’s about what your possibilities are unless an option is provided in the future to open all links in a new tab.

Though if you open a link in a new tab by right clicking it and pressing open in new tab/ window/ incognito window it will not say that the link had been clicked which is kind of annoying (probably a bug)

Yes, that’s the downside of right-clicking on them.

Possiamo avere una funzionalità a livello di bacheca che consenta di aprire tutti i link esterni in una nuova scheda per gli ospiti?

Attualmente la funzionalità è una preferenza utente e non funziona per gli ospiti (o per le pagine pubblicate, ad esempio).

Caso d’uso: sarebbe utile averla dove non è veramente necessario che un utente si registri, nel mio caso per argomenti/documentazione wiki.

Questo è in realtà fortemente contrario a tutta l’esperienza utente. E può essere davvero fastidioso quando un sito inizia a inquinare le schede. Lascia che sia l’utente a decidere quando e cosa aprire nelle schede.

C’è un modo per forzarlo ad essere una nuova scheda?

Non riesco a far visualizzare la nostra “pagina di stato” esterna come una nuova scheda su un global_notice.

Non voglio che le persone lascino il sito, voglio solo che gli utenti possano aprire una nuova scheda con le nostre informazioni sullo stato?

Sto configurando un nuovo Discourse e mi imbatto anche in questo. Vorrei che i link esterni si aprissero in una nuova scheda. L’impostazione è abilitata. Ma quando pubblico i link, semplicemente non hanno un target assegnato e ovviamente non si aprono in una nuova scheda.

C’è qualcosa che non va nella funzionalità in qualche modo?

OK, è strano, ma mi sono allontanato per circa 15 minuti e ora i link si aprono in una nuova scheda. :person_shrugging:
