It blocks the notifications, and it blocks the post from showing up in topic view. And it shouldn’t be possible for the user to tell they’re shadowbanned unless they try.
The list of shadowbanned users is stored in a setting with the usernames separated by |s. There’s probably a better way to do it, but I’m not sure how.
Errorban and slowban and then the circle will be fully complete (as long as you also add disemvowling)
Wow. This is awesome! Makes me laugh thinking of the trolls furiously stabbing keyboard to no effect.
Doesn’t the “click to see the flagged post” button already accomplish the same thing without the creepy public humiliation?
This does not seem to hide any posts on my forum

So, I installed it and after my embeds (youtube) stopped working… I removed it and rebuilt the app and embeds are back. Any ideas?
Então, basicamente, a postagem de um usuário com shadowban fica invisível para todos os outros usuários, mas não para ele mesmo. Do ponto de vista dele, ele está participando normalmente do fórum, mas ninguém nunca responde a ele. Está correto? Administradores/moderadores podem ver as postagens dele e responder privadamente dentro do fórum, sem precisar enviar uma mensagem privada?
