Discourse SMTP Setup

Hi team,

i have hosted discourse under my company network and now wanted to change the smtp settings. I have opened the firewall rule between discourse server and smtp server with port 25 as well. Now i do not have username password for our company smtp server. but discourse is asking to provide username and password for smtp server settings. how can i bypass username and password for smtp settings?

Can you send mail without it?

If so, you don’t need to provide them.

If not, we can’t help you and you need to get a service account from your IT department.

You’ll need to edit the yml file by hand rather than use discourse-setup.
