This document explains the migration services offered to customers on Business and Enterprise hosting plans, including what’s covered and the payment requirements.
Required user level: All users
Moving your community from one platform to Discourse might seem challenging, but it doesn’t have to be. Since 2014, we’ve helped countless communities migrate to Discourse and have refined the process to an art form.
What we offer
Business and Enterprise customers have access to migration services as part of their hosting plans:
Business hosting
- Three days of standard migration work included
- Requires one year of hosting payment upfront
- If you qualify for non-profit or education discounts, these will take effect after the first year
Enterprise hosting
- Three days of custom migration work included
- Requires three months of hosting paid upfront (with a minimum one-year commitment)
Migration process
Three days is typically enough time to migrate most communities. Additional time is only needed for extremely complex migrations or communities with millions of users.
Our team will work with you to ensure a smooth transition, handling the technical aspects of moving your content, users, and other data from your previous platform to Discourse.
