Editor only permissions

I see that we have ‘Shared edits’ and more stuff for wikis but we will add to our team an editor that we don’t want more acces than edit.

So you want allow editing of wikis just for some, not for everyone? But can you use setting min trust to edit wiki post and just create an editor-only group?

Not good idea. That setting allows only per trust level, it is not using groups.

And here is feature request for that, without any reactions:

Edit permission: allow only a certain group to edit the (wiki) posts under a particular category

I don’t want to give them permission to make new topics, nor to reply to the existing topics, but I do want to give them permission to edit topics, without adding them to the leader trust level. What I am basically missing is the ‘edit wiki posts’ permission. This permission would be granted to a certain group for a certain category, just like other permissions. If we limit who can edit a wiki in a certain category, than we also have to limit who can create new wiki posts, so we would also nee…

Which editing actions do you need for your editor? Perhaps they could be set to TL3, TL4, or a Category Moderator?

Just edit posts, not delete them or shows ‘mods’ in their profile because they don’t).

T3 could enable that? I will look into it, we need full edit permissions and that’s all.
