I just tried with my gmail but the mail still ended up in the original category. Weird – I’m surprised it worked for you! Could you check the headers of the forwarded mail? I see e.g. that the References contains the original topic id - could that have priority over the to: field?

Thanks for the link! Seems to be a similar situation except that in my case it’s about forwarding a mail and not replying. Hence I still don’t understand that behavior.
