Email not sending - Job exception: Net::ReadTimeout

I have managed to get the installation to work, the correct smtp settings. I am now receiving the following error when i try to register an account. From the production.log file.

Delivered mail xxxxxx@discourse.xxxxx.com (60210.3ms)
Job exception: Net::ReadTimeout

This suggests that you cannot access your mail server. If it’s something like mailgun, try port 2525.

Thanks for the response, if it helps I am able to telnet onto the mail server using port 465 and 587. No it is not mailgun.

Anything else I could possibly try? I would really like to use discourse.

I don’t have any ideas. If you can telnet to the port the it sounds like some kind of docker networking issue.
